Ollie the Oyster

A video produced by Ashley Gallagher & Jordan Mullaney

Oysters in the Chesapeake Bay are more than just a tasty dish. They filter the bay and keep it clean. A project at The George Washington University is working to build up oyster reefs so that the oysters can do this filtering. Students Jordan Mullaney and Ashley Gallagher made a video explaining this process and telling the tale of Ollie, an oyster from the Chesapeake Bay, as he went on a recycling journey. Ollie the Oyster's film debut won Jordan and Ashley the 2018 GW Planet Forward Storyfest Competition.
